Signing up as a substitute doesn't hurt your chances of being offered a permanent job with the district.  Getting involved as a substitute allows for the opportunity of on-the-job training, while working in a variety of interesting positions, and meeting colleagues with a variety of experience and insight throughout all of our locations. It has been found that experience as a substitute often prepares an individual for permanent placement.
