.A+ Charter Schools Police Department

A+ Charter Schools are proud to announce the arrival of the very first charter school police department in the State of Texas. In June, the State approved the creation of the A+ Charter Schools Police Department.

The A+ Charter Schools places the safety and security of our students and staff as our highest priority.  Over the past decade the district has hired private security services to provide on campus security. In 2020 the District made a decision to enhance our safety and security levels by creating a district police department. After over a year in the making the State of Texas granted A+ Charter Schools an Agency Number creating the A+ Charter Schools Police Department.

Our new police department will have three school resource officers serving all six of our campuses as well as the stadium and two district offices.  The department will operate 24 hours a day seven days a week. During non-school hours and weekends the department will have several full or part-time police officers. The district has reassigned three Campus Safety Monitors from secondary schools to the two elementary schools, the intermediate campus.
